Stroke is the number four killer in Hong Kong and is also the commonest cause of physical disability. Diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterol, smoking, obesity, lack of exercises and atrial fibrillation are some of the risk factors of stroke.

Automatic Retinal Image Analysis (ARIA) is an artificial intelligence system that can assess the stroke risk through retinal photos and retinal vessels structure analysis. Scientific research show that its sensitivity is as high as 95%.. Non-invasive, free of side effects, fast and accurate are the main advantages of this system.

• Optometrists will take the retinal photos in both eyes and upload the images to a cloud server for analysis and report making.
• It only takes 10 minutes to finish this assessment if clear retinal photos can be taken under non-dilated state. If the pupils are too small, it takes about 30 minutes to finish with the instillation of dilating eye drops.

Procedure:

1. Taking retinal photos in both eyes*
2. Uploading the photos to the A.I. cloud-based system for analysis and report making
3. Optometrists will explain the report after 10 mins
4. Receiving the report for personal record

* If the pupils are too small, dilating eye drops are needed for pupil dilation. It takes 20mins more to finish the whole process.

Tai Kwong Eyecare Centre – Eye Examination:

• Tai Kwong Eyecare Centre will contact the customer for eye examination within 2 working days after successful payment by WhatsApp or Phone. Customers may also call Tai Kwong Eyecare Centre at 3619 7236 or WhatsApp the centre at 9299 7643 for booking.
• The eye examination plan is only available at Tai Kwong Eyecare Centre.
• Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day.
• Amendment or cancellation is not allowed once the payment is confirmed, and is not transferable and refundable.
• All eye examination plans are not applicable on Sundays and Public Holidays.
• All eye examination are not for the purpose of medical treatment.
• In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife and Tai Kwong Eyecare Centre shall be final.

Validity:

• The redemption will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
