There are over 100 serotypes of pneumococcus, of which serotype 3 is the biggest threat. Regardless of age, most severe and hospitalised cases of pneumococcal infection are caused by serotype 3. Streptococcus pneumoniae causes a wide range of diseases, including middle ear infection (acute otitis media), pneumonia, and various forms of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD), such as meningitis and bloodstream infection (bacteremia and sepsis). Pneumococci are commonly found in the nose and throat of healthy individuals, especially children. Transmission occurs primarily through droplets generated by coughing and sneezing, close contact with infected individuals, or contact with contaminated objects. Pneumococcal vaccination is one of the safe and effective means of preventing pneumococcal diseases. You should talk to your doctor to find out if you need to be vaccinated against pneumococcal disease.

15-Valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (VAXNEUVANCE™) is now indicated for active immunization for the prevention of invasive disease caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F, 22F, 23F and 33F in individuals. VAXNEUVANCE™ specifically targets serotype 3 pneumococcus and helps prevent pneumonia and invasive disease (meningitis, septicaemia, etc.) caused by pneumococcus (including 15 serotypes).

Highlights:

• According to the recommendation made by the Scientific Committee on Vaccine Preventable Diseases (SCVPD) under the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health (DH), VAXNEUVANCE™ induces high immunogenicity against serotype 3 which is believed to be more effective in preventing IPD caused by this serotype.
• It is approved for use by the US FDA and the EU, and is widely used in European and American countries such as the US, the UK and Canada, as well as Australia.
• This is a registered pharmaceutical product approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong. It meets the criteria for safety, efficacy, and quality.

How:

• Intramuscular Injection
• Single-dose / multiple-doses administration (where applicable)

Recommended for

- Individuals aged 6 weeks or above and under 2 years old:

Standard Regimen* (2 primary doses + 1 booster dose)

• First primary dose at 2 months of age
• Second primary dose at 4 months of age
• One booster dose at 12 months of age

* A catch-up schedule is to be followed for any missed or delayed doses. Please consult a medical practitioner for the applicable schedule of vaccine administration.

- Individuals aged 2 years old or above: Single Dose

Terms & Conditions

1. Doctor's consultation is included prior to the first dose of vaccine. If customer is assessed to be not suitable for vaccination, the fee will be refunded subject to a deduction of doctor’s consultation fee at HK$300.
2. Price only includes single dose of 15-Valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine.
3. The product is not applicable to Vaccination Subsidy Scheme.
4. This vaccination service is applicable to individuals aged 6 weeks or above.
5. Persons aged below 18 MUST be accompanied by their parents/legal guardians, who will sign on the consent form on behalf of the enrolees in the clinic.
6. This vaccination is only available at designated Quality HealthCare Medical Centre(s) as shown above.
7. Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day for verification.
8. Each dosage of vaccination will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment. Customer must redeem and complete each dosage within the 6 months’ period.
9. Save and except for the circumstance as stipulated under Clause 1 above, no amendment or refund to the service ordered is allowed once payment is confirmed. All services cannot be resold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes without explicit written consent of Quality HealthCare.
10. In case of disputes, the decision of Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited shall be final.

Quality HealthCare – Health check up packages terms and conditions

• Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call hotline at 8100 8138 / Whatsapp 8301 8301 for booking.
• Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter or email on the appointment day.
• Physical check up plan is applicable to people aged 18 or above only.
• Physical check up plan is not applicable on Sunday and Public Holidays.
• Eye examination is not applicable on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
• The plan will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
• Check Up Report: After the health check up, it usually takes about 7-14 working days to process the inspection report.  Working days do not include Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.  This time frames are for guidelines only & do not reflect the actual time might be needed (e.g. the timeframe might change depend on the individual test has taken or specific timeslot requested by the customer).
• Amendment or cancellation is not allowed once the payment is confirmed, and is not transferable and refundable.
• In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
• All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.

Quality HealthCare – Vaccination (Flu Vaccine excluded) 

• Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call hotline at 8100 8138 / Whatsapp 8301 8301 for booking.
• Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter or email on the appointment day.
• The plan will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
• Amendment or cancellation is not allowed once the payment is confirmed, and is not transferable and refundable.
• Hepatitis antigen and antibody report issued in last 3 months must be presented prior to Hepatitis vaccination. Extra fee for blood test will be applied if you cannot present a valid report.
• Doctor's consultation is included prior to the 1st dose of vaccine. Doctor’s consultation fee of HK$300 applies if patient is not suitable for the vaccine injection after Doctor's consultation.
• In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
• All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.

• The provision of any vaccines shall be subject to availability, which may not be guaranteed after the purchase or appointment made. 

• Vaccination is not applicable to Jordan (Diagnostic & Imaging Centre).

Quality HealthCare – Eye Check

• Quality HealthCare will contact the customer within 3 working days after successful payment. Customers can also call physical check-up hotline at 8100 8138 for booking.
• The physical check-up plan is available at designated Quality HealthCare Physical Check-up Centres.
• Customers must present their identity cards and order confirmation letter (printed or e-version) on the appointment day.
• This product is applicable to people aged 3 or above only. 
• Physical check-up plan is not applicable on Sundays and Public Holidays.
• The redemption will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
• All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.
• In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.

Quality HealthCare – Traditional Chinese Medicine

• After successful payment, customers can call designed Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Centre for appointment during working hours
• Chinese medicine treatment is applicable at designed Quality HealthCare Chinese Medicine Centre.
• All treatments are valid for 3 months after purchase.
• Prior appointment is required and services are non-transferrable.
• Whole package must be completed in the designated centres and by designated TCM practitioner.
• If a person aged 18 or younger wishes to receive treatment, the parent or guardian must sign a consent form prior to the treatment.
• This treatment does not include Chinese herbal medicine for consumption or additional Chinese herbal medicine, which shall be charged separately.
• This treatment can be used at designated Quality Healthcare Chinese Medicine Centres and prior appointment of at least 2 days in advance by customer after purchase is required:  Kwun Tong Millennium City 5 and Tseung Kwan O Pop Walk 2.
• The redemption will be valid for 6 months starting from the date of payment.
• In case of disputes, the decision of health.ESDlife shall be final.
