What is Cataract?

• Cataracts are a clouding of the crystalline lens of the eye. This in turn affects vision. Cataracts form for many reasons but the most common is age.
• It is normal for people over the age of 60 to have some mild form of cataracts. 
• The other causes of Cataract development include diabetes, trauma, uveitis, steroid use, radiation, congenital factors etc. 
• Development of cataract can cause deterioration of quality of vision, affecting the normal daily life. 

What Is Glaucoma?

• Glaucoma is a condition of increased pressure within the eyeball, it tends to be inherited and may not show up until later in life.
• The increased pressure, called intraocular pressure, can damage the optic nerve, which transmits images to your brain.
• If the damage continues, glaucoma can lead to permanent vision loss. Without treatment, glaucoma can cause total permanent blindness within a few years.

What is Macular Degeneration?

• Macular Degeneration is caused by the deterioration of the central portion of the retina, the inside back layer of the eye that records the images we see and sends them via the optic nerve from the eye to the brain.
• The retina’s central portion, known as the macula, is responsible for focusing central vision in the eye, and it controls our ability to read, drive a car, recognize faces or colors, and see objects in fine detail.

What is Retinal Detachment?

• The retina is a thin and sensitive tissue that is arranged behind the eyeball. Like a film in a camera, the retina converts the optical image into a nerve pulse, transmitted through the optic nerve and seen as the vision in the brain.
• In most cases, retinal detachment is caused by retinal rupture in the retina, which allows fluid to enter beneath the retinal space, causing the retina to separate from the back of the eyeball. Since the separated retina is partially deprived of blood and nutrient supply, it will degrade and not work properly.
• Without prompt treatment, it will lead to Vision damage and blindness in the affected eye.

• Customers must present their identity cards and print the order confirmation letter on the appointment day.
• Amendment or cancellation on package/plan is not allowed once the payment is confirmed.
• All tests are not for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.

Age

• For customers aged 18 or above

Validity:

• Comprehensive Eye Examination with 1 year validity. Registration must be completed within 1 years, e.g. purchase date is 1st January 2021, customers must be registered on or before 1st January 2022. Reservations are taken one month in advance. Invalid exceeds the period.

Report:

• Customers can get face to face explanation by Ophthalmologist .
• A delay in arranging explanation session may due to the following reasons: 1. indicate the specific selective date 2. Some tests take more time.
