Liver FibroScan for Fatty Liver and Liver Fibrosis (Suitable for individuals concerned about liver damage, such as cirrhosis and fatty liver)

The FibroScan® device is used to assess the degree of liver fibrosis, stiffness, and accumulation of fat in the liver through its patented ultrasound technology. It provides a non-invasive, accurate, and repeatable examination for liver fibrosis and fatty liver assessment. It can determine the extent of liver fibrosis, liver stiffness, and the degree of fatty liver.

FibroScan® is a non-invasive, convenient and highly accurate test for liver fat content and fibrosis. It utilises the patented Vibration-Controlled Transient Elastography to measure the stiffness, scarring and fat accumulation in the liver. The controlled attenuation parameter (CAP) score and liver stiffness result (measured in eKpa) can measure the fatty change in the liver to diagnose fatty liver disease. It is a non-invasive and painless test. Repeated tests with FibroScan® will not result in any side effects.

The examinee lies on his/ her back. The physician places the FibroScan® probe in an intercostal space with slight pressure. It generates a harmless elastic shear wave from its probe to the liver tissue. This wave is tracked and measured by ultrasound. The examinee could only feel a slight vibration at the tip. FibroScan® examination is radiation-free and non-invasive.

Appointment:

• After the customer completed payment from health.ESDlife , HKAI will call the customer to make an appointment within 1-2 business days.

Referral:
A referral letter must present to the clinic staff on the day of service. (Apply to most checkup plans)

Validity period:
The examination plan is valid for one year. The customer must accept the relevant inspection within one year (from the date of confirmation of payment). The customer must make an appointment one month before expired.

Report:

• Consultation before health check and Doctor Explanation of Report will be conducted in AI Medical Center.
• Under normal circumstances, all medical reports will be ready around 2 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holiday). A delay in processing some requests due to the following reasons: indicate the specific selective.

Others:

• This examination service cannot be exchanged for any cash, non-transferable and converted to other products and services.
• This examination service cannot be used with other promotional packages and is only available for one person.
• The customer need to agree with the arrangement from HKAI before the examination.
• In case of any dispute, health.ESDlife & HKAI reserves the right of final decision.
